I have trouble buying guys presents. Shocker, I know. Typical male things don’t interest the guys in my life. Instead they are happy creating something, collecting Apple products or in Nerdvana. Yes, i just said Nerdvana, get over it.
With Valentines day fast approaching and our anniversary not long after I start wondering about gifts. Do we, don’t we. If we do should we buy or make?
I feel like our house is cluttered with useless objects, predominately gifts, that never get used. Here are my top picks for this Valentines for him.
Herbivore Botanicals in Washington have lovingly created a vegan and 100% natural beard tonic. What do you mean you don’t know what a beard tonic is?! (it’s okay, neither did I, and I have a history with cosmetology). Beard tonic is a wonderful concoction that moisturises the skin underneath the beard and keeps the hair lovely and luscious.
Meriweather Montana‘s creators are smart people. This is a good mix of beer and science. This next item is a wall mounted bottle opener with a magnetic cap catcher. That’s right, the magnets catch the cap as gravity tries bringing it to the ground, AND for only a few dollars more you can get it engraved for that personal touch.
Albatross Guitars have created a kit set. Imagine presenting your muso obsessed guy (or gal) a guitar they get to create. Although the shop has limited details on its Etsy page the reviews are great, they have some pretty pleased customers.
OONA Woodworks love bikes and woodwork as you can clearly see when you visit their shop. They have created a functional shelf which doubles as a bike rack. Not only can you store your bike but you can display your iPad, books and store smaller objects in the sliding panel.
Anyone else digging the metal art on Etsy lately? Knob Creek Metal Arts have created a functional piece of artwork (We love functional items). Their bookends tell their own stories, take this Meteor Strike bookend set for example.
Walnut Studio Lo have some lovely Wooden + Leather items. Going with our bike theme from before (if you haven’t guessed, we don’t have a car. Hipster enough for you yet?) I have found this super awesome can holder for your bike. The materials used look amazing, some of Etsy’s best I’m sure. My guy is a big Energy drink fan (although we are attempting to kick the habit) so this would be perfect for those bike adventures.
ArtAKimbo from Redding, USA create some very unusual & quirky sculptures and stands. Like this tentacle sculpture. Apparently my guy is drawn to it. It’s okay, if you frighten easily like me just hang it in their office, man cave, garage, or bedroom. Somewhere you don’t go often.
Undulating Contours have created what i can only guess is the mans version of a dressing table. Where our makeup would usually be you find gadgets, watches, glasses and money. With a variety of options in sizing and uses this is your one stop shop if your really stuck on ideas.
Does your guy love beer but not so much bathing? Luckily for you Hills Natural Soap have combined the two. Although their Guinness soap smells beer ish don’t expect to come out of the shower smelling like a brewery. Unique, Affordable and somewhat insulting its the perfect gift for that guy in your life.
With some amazing wooden decals for Apple products from this shop you’ll be amazed at their unique take on the popular decal. Although I’m awed by their decals Alvin Industries actually have me stunned by their engraved wooden version of the Fantasy 15 comic cover. This would be the perfect gift for that comic obsessed guy.
Enjoy those? I hope so. If you did add them to your Etsy Carts. Check out their shops, read the back stories and fall in love. If i just saved you from buying a boring iTunes gift voucher then Your Welcome.
Till next time;
